The Porsche 718 Spyder RS is one of the most uncompromising roadsters in the brand’s history. It combines a mid-mounted, high-revving Boxer engine, exceptionally low weight, and motorsport-inspired features. This is a car designed first and foremost with the driver in mind—no hybrid powertrain, no turbocharging, and no compromises when it comes to the driving experience.
The Porsche 718 Spyder RS impresses with its low, wide, and exceptionally dynamic silhouette. Every element of the body has been designed with aerodynamics and weight reduction in mind. The distinctive front fascia echoes the styling of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, while the wide air intakes emphasize the car’s high-performance character.
The biggest highlight of the Porsche 718 Spyder RS is its 4-liter, six-cylinder Boxer engine. The engine is structurally similar to the one used in the Porsche 911 GT3 and produces 500 KM at 8,400 rpm and 450 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The maximum engine speed is as high as 9,000 rpm.
Paired with a close-ratio 7-speed PDK transmission, the Spyder RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It reaches 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds, and its top speed is an impressive 308 km/h.
