The Audi R8 RWD is one of those cars that reveal their unique character at first glance. The mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 5.2 V10 FSI engine, rear-wheel drive, and the silhouette of a true supercar come together to create a configuration designed primarily for the driver.
This particular car has been further tuned to 640 KM, giving it performance that significantly exceeds the stock specifications of the R8 V10 Performance RWD. The factory RWD version produced 570 KM and 550 Nm, accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, and reached a top speed of 329 km/h. One thing is certain—the combination of a V10, 640 KM, RWD, and a mid-engine layout creates a configuration that delivers an exceptionally engaging driving experience.
The biggest difference compared to the quattro models is that it has rear-wheel drive only.
This design makes the R8 far more engaging for the driver. Rear-wheel drive allows the V10’s potential to be harnessed in a more direct way, and properly tuned electronics also enable controlled drifting.
The R8 V10 Performance RWD uses a mechanical limited-slip differential that helps transfer torque efficiently to the rear axle.
